Paris is arguably the most photographic city in the world. And although I’m familiar with the most popular city sights (I lived here for six months in the 1980’s), its never too late to learn new photography tips and angles. So tonight I booked a private walking tour with one of the staff from the local photography tours. The idea is a great one: over the course of three hours you walk the streets of Paris learning new skills and getting immediate feedback from your guide. Photographers at any level can take part – the professional is there to encourage your creativity and photographic development. I chose to focus on shooting at night with long exposures. Sadly we had intermittent rain during the evening, and it can sometimes be seen in tiny lens smudges. But that’s a small price to pay for a great night out.
